Message From the Manager

For many years a group of friends have gathered for a holiday brunch. In December of 2000, a suggestion was made that we form a small book club and everyone liked the idea. The first book we read was Butterscotch Blues by Margaret Johnson Hodge, which I had heard great things about after joining Apooo, also in December of 2000. So, our club was formed as an offshoot of our yearly brunch gathering.
The name Club Mimosa also comes from the brunch gathering. Somewhat like a tradition, mimosa was always served and thus the name Club Mimosa.
